My dear friend Martha Rich (follow her!) has a show up at Space 1026 in Philadelphia called Nothing is Rather Do. If you’re in Philadelphia don’t miss it. She is talented and funny to boot! 

I went to grad school with Martha Rich and she is nothing short of amazing. She was one of the folks who made being at a stodgy ass school bearable.

Some people who follow me on the internet (my dad) have noted that I am not uploading new work as frequently.  The truth is I have been very busy these past couple months writing and illustrating my book, Fraidyzoo. It was overwhelming, exciting and, well, the most work I’ve ever done on a thing. It is available to pre-order on Amazon today and will be out in stores Nov 5th. Fraidyzoo is the story of a little girl, Little T, who is afraid of the zoo but cannot remember why.  To help her remember, her mom, dad, and excitable sister bring to life an over-the-top parade of zoo animals made from everything in their house.  In an attempt to find what scares her, Little T and her family explore all the ways a home can become a workshop and hopefully show their reader that fun can trump fear.
